Sawadee Thai Massage in the Hunter region of New South Wales came into being after the owner experienced sustained benefits, both physical and emotional, from regular massage by experienced Thai massage therapists in Australia and abroad.
Having travelled widely throughout Asia and enjoying the massage experience in a range of cultural settings, the techniques used by Thai trained therapists seemed to achieve the best overall outcomes.
Our Hamilton studio first opened as Kornissa’s Thai Massage and Spa in 2009 and is believed to be the first Thai massage business in Newcastle. Today the tradition continues with regular 5 star ratings for the quality of massage offered.
A Sawadee massage is much more than the physical sensation of hand movement across tight muscles. It is a wholistic experience that relaxes and revives the mind and body. Key to the experience is of course the skill and demeanor of the therapist. But we also pay attention to the studio location, its design and decor, the air conditioned rooms, music genres and hygiene practices as well as the oils and lotions used throughout the massage.
Elements of Thai culture and respect for Thai Buddhist traditions are a part our way of making your experience satisfying and enjoyable.
Our therapists are Thai nationals, occasionally supplemented by skilled practitioners from neighbouring countries such as Laos and Vietnam.
Sawadee takes its social responsibility seriously and provides significant financial assistance every year to childhood education and anti-trafficking programs in Thailand. The founder has worked extensively in international aid throughout South-East Asia and remains involved in development work in Thailand, The Philippines and Nepal.
Privacy and Security
Sawadee Thai Massage securely accepts online bookings and payments with Fresha.
Fresha warrants that all information you provide to Fresha’s booking services for Sawadee Thai Massage Studios is securely stored. This includes your name and phone number and payment details. Fresha’s website uses secure end-to-end encryption to protect your information. All connections into their platform are secured using industry standard security and encryption.
All data Fresha captures is stored in secured databases and data storage systems with strict access limitations. All data access requests are logged and monitored in accordance with any threat detection policies.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Fresha warrants that they do their best to protect your personal information, but cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to them – even if there is a special notice that a particular transmission (for example, credit card information) is encrypted. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once Fresha has received your information, they use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Payment processing
Payments made on Fresha Services are made through their payment gateway provider, Adyen N.V., (“Adyen“). You will be providing credit or debit card information directly to Adyen, which operates a secure server to process payment details, encrypting your credit/debit card information and authorising payment. Fresha can view pseudonymized cardholder and card details. In addition, Fresha stores the following card information:
- card brand,
- card holder name,
- card’s last four digits,
- card expiry month and expiry year.
Fresha warrants that Information which you supply to Adyen is not within their control and is subject to Adyen’s own privacy policy and terms.
